Story[]
Mario and Sonic are inside a arena, getting ready for a battle. Sonic wins. Suddenly a dark shadow covers the entire arena. When the shadow clears, knight armor standing up with a sword and shield called a Knight attack them. Mario and Sonic defeat 15 and a Giant Knight appears. Mario and Sonic go to different stages and recruit characters. Finally Mario and Co. make it to the last stage, Subspace. A rebel Primid joins their team. Tabuu has attacked again, this time using Knights. 5 characters can attack Tabuu.

Mario Bash is a beat'em up game, a near clone of Sonic Battle. There are an normal attack, air attack, special attack, and recovery/air special. You can jump, walk, and run.
